Job Description
Tarkett is seeking an EHS Specialist to support the administration of Workers Compensation, develop, maintain, and improve environmental health and safety programs within the Middlefield site. The EHS Specialist will help to meet or exceed all regulatory requirements and provide for a safe work environment that is free of hazards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene or related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of experience with workers compensation law, and light duty/return to work programs
- Strong working knowledge of all OSHA and EPA (OEPA) regulations
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene test methods and monitoring programs to also include hazard mitigation techniques
- Knowledge of SPCC and SWPP Programs and Permits
- Knowledge of Environmental Sampling and Record Keeping in regards to SPCC and BMP
- Knowledge of Tier II and FORM R reporting, Air permitting, and hazardous waste management
- Understanding of Industrial wastewater discharge permitting processes
- Willingness to collaborate and dynamically engage with fellow Ohio Campus EHS team
- Excellent verbal and written skills to include technical writing
- Strong interpersonal and presentations skills are essential
- Advanced computer skills are essential ā Microsoft Office 365 environment
