The Director of Physical Plant & Technology is a strategic and detail-oriented leader responsible for overseeing the district’s technology infrastructure and physical plant operations. The Director leads technology and infrastructure projects, manages enterprise technology services and help desk operations, and supervises technology and facilities staff while fostering a collaborative and service-focused team culture.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or be willing to obtain one and have a minimum of five years of recent related experience in technology, facilities, or a related field
- Experience providing solutions in a customer-facing environment and managing enterprise help desk operations
- Experience with audio/visual equipment configuration, and troubleshooting
- Background in facilities management and infrastructure oversight
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, operate manual material handling equipment, and bend, stoop, squat, kneel, push/pull, and climb ladders up to 12 feet as needed for installations and maintenance
- Strong organizational and project planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to exceeding expectations for internal and external stakeholders
- Self-motivated and proactive, willing to seek out projects, take initiative, and perform additional duties as assigned
