Job Description
As a Broadband Technician III at TDS Telecom, you will perform complex installations, disconnects, and service changes for residential and business customers. You will be responsible for installing, splicing, repairing, and maintaining fiber optic and copper cable. This position requires 2+ years of technical telecommunications experience or current/prior military service with honorable discharge.
Requirements
- Perform complex installations of all necessary cable wiring (interior and exterior) and hardware from the tap to the customer’s equipment
- Test equipment to identify and repair signal strength issues and ensure optimum reception
- Monitor and record system, drop, and in-house leakage
- Promote cable, internet, and other company services to customers
