Assembly Operator II is responsible for operating automated assembly machinery, ensuring quality and productivity, and performing quality checks. The role requires basic computer skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to follow operating instructions. The ideal candidate has experience working in a manufacturing setting and a strong sense of accountability and high standards.
Requirements
- Be open to change and constant improvement of processes
- Obtain set up parameters for automated assembly machines
- Operate the Automated assembly machines including identification and notification of alarms
- Perform general inspection of assembled product using a microscope, gages, and other measuring equipment as required by the quality inspection plan
- Perform in-process adjustments to auxiliary equipment as required
- Completes required paperwork to report production, scrap, downtime, problems and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting
- Monitor machines for problems and help troubleshoot issues
- Prepare and Load raw material into machine
- Follow standard work instructions to ensure quality
- Carry out basic calculations with aid of a computer and calculator
- Maintain quality and quantity with strong sense of accountability and high standards
- Complete relevant documentation
- Clean and maintain equipment and work area per 5S+1 standards
