R&D/PRODUCT DVL ENGINEER II - Mechanical Fiber Optics

The R&D Product Development Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing new products and leading sustainability/life cycle management projects. The ideal candidate will have experience in optical cable harness design and value-added product design, as well as proficiency in Creo software, AutoCAD, Windchill, SAP & PLM software.

Requirements

• Experience using New Product Development Cycle process
• Design of Optical cable harness and Mechanical packaging systems for Fibre Optics products
• Hands-on Experience in developing QTP plan & testing & validation of Optical products
• Proficiency in Creo software, AutoCAD, Windchill, SAP & PLM software
• Experience with injection molded plastic, die cast, sheet metal design, manufacturing methods & processes
• Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, FMEA and Theoretical Design related calculations
• Product Development Cycle and Processes (NPD,NPI,Agile,Productivity)
• Ability to transform Voice of Customer into Technical Specifications
• Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player
• Experience in Product Design involving Plastic and Sheet Metal parts
• DFSS certified / Knowledge of six sigma tools
• Experience & knowledge in structural analysis
• Knowledge of Global Certifications and Regulatory Standards (UL, IEC, MIL etc)
• Willingness to Travel as required and at short notice
