Job Description
Senior Product Engineer role at TE Connectivity in Hastings, working on Backshell and Connector Accessories solutions for the Aerospace, Defense & Marine sector, with a focus on new product development and support of existing product lines.
Requirements
- Degree level education in Design, Mechanical / Electromechanical Engineering or a related subject
- Knowledge of or experience in utilising specifications AS85049 / EN3660
- Experience of Design for Sustainability initiatives
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Results orientated with the ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines
- Commercially and financially astute
- Competency in using technical tools specific to the job function: e.g. CAD (Solidworks or Creo), CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools
- Basic knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD
