Delivers strong impact in LEANPD – driven new product development by advancing both existing and new manufacturing technologies to improve process capability and tolerance control. Ensures effective and efficient collaboration between Product Development and Manufacturing Engineering, and supports design optimization for manufacturability.
Requirements
- Drive the adoption of new technologies, processes, and automation for new NPI programs.
- Lead NPI and PTI activities, and collaborate closely with R&D, Manufacturing Engineer and Quality to maintain the highest controllable quality standards.
- Initiate process flows, process control plans, and ongoing process monitoring.
- Initiate process control sheets, work instructions, operation manuals, and production game plans.
- Drive productivity improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
- Develop, implement, maintain, and continuously improve in-production assembly processes, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, efficiency, cost, and environmental compliance.
- Specify jigs, fixtures, and tools for the new product, or the transfer product.
- Take responsibility for ***-Article and pre-production runs (FOR/PP runs).
- Support and implement engineering change requests (ECR/ECO).
- Perform process validation, including new process and new equipment/machine qualification.
- Perform additional tasks assigned by the supervisor.
