Requirements
- Conduct audits of processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of processes.
- Define and optimize process parameters on injection machines to ensure compliance with customer requirements and objectives.
- Recalibrate and optimize existing molds.
- Maintain process files (parameter sheets) updated, as well as standard operating instructions and validated.
- Validate new molds and materials (resins, pigments, etc.) to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency of the process.
- Participate in the review of new mold designs and in the development and execution of the industrialization strategy.
- Participate in rapid mold change strategy.
- Improve medium to high complexity process fixtures or tools.
- Optimize processes to achieve reduction in Cycle Times.
- Supervise peripheral equipment, machinery, and molds are kept in optimal condition.
- Develop and manufacture end-of-arm automation tools.
- Create and maintain Process Flow Diagrams.
- Create and update Operator Instruction Sheets.
- Participate in the creation of PFMEA with the multidisciplinary team.
- Create and update Set-up Sheets.
- Participate in the training of injection process technicians.
- Train group managers and operators on equipment operation (launches, engineering changes).
- Participate in the creation of Control Plans.
- Participate in fault analysis and problem-solving / defect injection.
- Implement and track Engineering Changes in the process.
- Create capacity studies for tools and equipment.
- Participate in and implement continuous improvement tools (5S, SMED, Kanban, Standardized Work, Pokayoke, One-piece Flow, etc.) to support the TEOA certification plan of the unit.
- Document lessons learned and apply applicable countermeasures.
- Stop an activity that puts the environmental management system at risk.
- Stop a process where there is a possibility of damaging the environment or / and is outside legal environmental compliance.
- Provide support in problem-solving solution generation.
- Train other team members when necessary.
- Lead manufacturing technicians and mold change technicians.
- Resolve problems with minimal supervision using problem-solving methodology (DMAIC, A3, 8D).
- Take actions to reduce environmental impact, as well as activities to comply with ISO 14001 standard.
