Job Description
Senior Project Manager accountable for overall planning, organization, direction, and control of projects, ensuring safe and timely completion within budget constraints. Responsibilities include providing safety leadership, planning and controlling daily activities, managing project budgets, and overseeing contract administration.
Requirements
- 7-12 years direct experience in Water & Wastewater infrastructure, Heavy Industrial/Civil or Oil & Gas construction sectors
- 10+ years overall construction industry experience in roles such as skilled trade, site supervision, or project management
- Direct project management or site supervision of large heavy civil/industrial, oil & gas or Water & Wastewater construction projects valued over CAD$30mm
- Professional Engineering (P.Eng) or equivalent degree
- Gold Seal (GSC), Project Management Professional (PMP) or LEED AP certifications
- Established long-term working relationships with key subcontractors
- Commissioning and startup experience of complex mechanical, electrical, and process systems
- Strong scheduling skills using MS Project or Primavera P6
- Leadership, motivational and mentoring skills
- Management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
- Customer service focus and results-oriented
- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
- Eligibility for security clearances and valid driver's license
- Superior working knowledge of MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) and Bluebeam
