Operational Consultant - MEP Industry (Remote w/ Travel)

Teamshares is a mission-driven startup that buys small businesses and transitions them into employee-owned businesses. The Operational Consultant role involves driving operational improvement, implementing technology, and supporting companies through transitions. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of operating experience in the trades and can build trust with operators.

Requirements

• 2+ years of operating & project leadership experience inside a trades-based business, home services company, or enterprise-level general contracting firms
• Demonstrated ability to earn the trust of operators and field-based teams
• Executional bias: you move fast, follow through, and don't wait to be told what to do once a direction is set
• Strong project management skills
• Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to operate without a well-defined playbook
• Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time, including extended on-site periods during active company engagements
• Analytical enough to read a P&L, identify the signal in operating data, and know when something is wrong before it becomes a crisis
