Nurse Extern - Med Surg

The Nurse Extern role provides clinical experience for RN nursing students and assists Registered Nursing staff with patient care activities, including patient care planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Requirements

• Accurately checks patient’s blood sugar and documents results
• Obtains vital signs based on patient’s age and condition
• Performs patient interventions within scope of practice
• Notifies nurse of changes in patient’s condition
