Requirements
- Establish and enforce policies, procedures, standards and objectives
- Direct and supervise staff as well as work flow
- Responsible for budgetary or fiscal accountability
- Approve timekeeping, employee evaluation, and supply orders
- Monitor productivity/cost per unit of service
- Complete timely 30 day stay interviews and 90 days and annual evaluations
- Hires, terminates, trains, evaluates performance and supervises staff
- Manage staff to ensure compliance with applicable standards and policies
- Enhance communication between various levels of staff, departments and customers
- Cultivate and promote staff expertise and knowledge
- Perform necessary edits for Kronos time management system and payroll
- Maintain and monitor JCAHO and other regulatory requirements
- Gather and report quality indicators generated by department activity
- Develop and implement action plans to improve patient experience
- Mentors and develops staff
