Requirements
- Reports to the Manager, Oncology Center, conducts a nutrition assessment for all patients identified at nutritional risk
- Develops and implements nutrition care plans specific to patient needs
- Participates in multidisciplinary rounds and provides education to various departments on nutrition related topics
- Researches and develops programs for dietetic interns
- Participates in research projects and nutrition related programs
- Works with outside agencies to obtain ongoing assistance for patients as appropriate
- Maintains hospital and departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and process improvement
- Inventory and orders office and tube feeding supplies
- Monitors and directs foodservice personnel to ensure optimal nutritional food service to patients
- Formulates special recipes or plans to meet the specific needs of patients
- Promotes guest relations and maintains good customer service
- Promotes the value of the DMC by demonstrating behaviors supportive of a commitment to quality, community welfare, respect and involvement, teamwork, open and effective communication, innovation, and education, and efficient and effective resource use
