Mechanical Engineer (Integrated System Test; North Reading, MA)

Teradyne is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to contribute to system-level test and storage platform development. The role involves designing, engineering, and testing complex electromechanical systems within a semi-autonomous context. This position requires a collaborative mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in various engineering tools and methodologies.

Requirements

• Develop industrial, automated equipment products based on sound engineering principles.
• Work with minimal guidance and supervision toward predefined goals.
• Conceptualize and communicate system architecture for complex machine designs.
• Develop electro-mechanical packaging solutions.
• Proficiency in FEA, tolerance analysis, precision alignment, and selection of actuators/sensors.
• Experience with injection molding preferred.
• Experience in design for manufacturing, out-sourced assembly, serviceability, and safety compliance.
