Teradyne is seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to support our Silicon Photonics Engineering group in North Reading, MA. The successful candidate will lead and/or participate in platform product development initiatives within our Silicon Photonics product team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 5+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems
- Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling & drawing creation
- Performing FEA using either Solidworks Simulation or Ansys Workbench
- Solidworks EPDM for CAD data management
- PLM Software like TeamCenter or WindChill for change management
- Experience authoring ECN / ECO's
- Knowledge of basic GD&T standards
- Ability to generate detailed mechanical drawings
- Ability to create 2D schematic, cable and harness drawings
- Ability to select OEM mechanical components based upon requirements documentation
- Familiarity with traditional manufacturing & machining methods
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work on complex issues and creatively resolve them with minimum direction
- Understanding of CE, UL, SEMI, ISO, NFPA and other relevant product design and safety standards
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally (up to 20%)
