Mechanical Engineer - SiPh Test Solutions (Haifa, Israel)

We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to support our Silicon Photonics Engineering group in Haifa, Israel. The role will involve leading and/or participating in platform product development initiatives within our Silicon Photonics product team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ years of experience in the design and manufacture of complex electro-mechanical systems
• Solidworks for 3D CAD modeling & drawing creation
• Performing FEA using either Solidworks Simulation or Ansys Workbench
• Solidworks EPDM for CAD data management
• PLM Software like TeamCenter or WindChill for change management
• Experience authoring ECN / ECO's
• Knowledge of basic GD&T standards
• Ability to generate detailed mechanical drawings
• Ability to create 2D schematic, cable and harness drawings
• Ability to select OEM mechanical components based upon requirements documentation
• Familiarity with traditional manufacturing & machining methods
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work on complex issues and creatively resolve them with minimum direction
• Understanding of CE, UL, SEMI, ISO, NFPA and other relevant product design and safety standards
