Machinist II

Terumo Medical Corporation is seeking a Machinist II to provide technical support to the production departments with regard to fabricating and modifying components, testing fixtures, and developmental tools. The role involves diagnosing problems, recommending corrective actions, and performing layout, set-up, and programming of automatic machines. The Machinist II is responsible for determining how best to complete assigned tasks within designated time frames and works with individuals within Engineering and other departments.

Requirements

• Read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to make decisions and act on the decisions based on knowledge and experience gained in the field of machining and fabricating
• Ability to provide guidance to less senior Machinists
• Ability to independently plan sequencing of machining/tooling operations
• Computer skills including proficiency with CAD/CAM software utilized by TMC
• Ability to independently machine and tool complex and detailed parts
• Ability to work to close tolerances
• Ability to set up and run all machines within the shop
• Exact visual and mental attention to the job being performed to ensure accuracy
