The County Extension Agent implements, plans, and evaluates educational programs and activities in assigned program areas, including agriculture, natural resources, and 4-H. The agent maintains communication with county and administrative staff, identifies and trains volunteer leaders, and develops professional improvement plans. Responsibilities include program planning, evaluation, and implementation, as well as partnerships with other agencies and groups.
Requirements
- Maintains appropriate communications with county, district, and administrative staffs
- Identifies, recruits, trains and utilizes local volunteer leaders
- Utilizes evaluation data and program outcomes to interpret program impacts
- Develops a long-range professional improvement plan
- Participates in recruiting, employing, training, and other related activities
- Conducts annual performance review with support staff
- Plans and implements educational programs and activities in assigned program areas
- Utilizes a variety of teaching methods, strategies/techniques, activities, and materials
- Complies with provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Affirmative Action Plan
- Utilizes evaluation strategies/techniques to determine progress of in-depth programs
- Prepares monthly, annual and special reports and in-depth program summaries
