Postdoctoral Researcher

Postdoctoral Researcher position at Texas A&M Engineering, working on advanced semiconductor prototyping facility. The researcher will design, assemble and commission a modular testbed facility to characterize transient and steady-state thermal performance characteristics of 3DHI microelectronics components. The candidate will also interface with microelectronics industry and academic partners, develop test plans, and perform transient thermal measurements. The position requires a doctoral degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field with a focus on thermal-fluid science research.

Requirements

• Design, assemble and commission modular testbed facility
• Interface with microelectronics industry and academic partners
• Develop test plans to measure thermal performance of customer semiconductor packages
• Develop thermal test vehicles and test fixtures
• Perform transient thermal measurements
• Develop and test two-phase thermal management strategies
• Mentor thermal graduate students
