Requirements

• Earned doctorate in nursing from an accredited university
• Master's degree in nursing
• 5 years of clinical practice experience as a registered nurse/APRN
• 5 years of teaching experience in nursing education
• Current unencumbered RN license to practice nursing in the State of Texas
• Certification requirements for APRN for their specialty
