Texas A&M International University is seeking an Instruction and Learning Technologies Librarian to begin August 2026. The successful candidate will design, develop, and deliver effective online instructional plans and resources, promote library instruction and services, and teach and host instruction sessions and workshops. The position requires a Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent, demonstrated experience with multimedia learning object creation, and a strong desire to serve first-generation students.
Requirements
- Earned Master's degree in Library Science or equivalent from an American Library Association (ALA)-accredited institution
- Demonstrated experience or familiarity with multimedia learning object creation (video, audio, and visual)
- Potential for advancement in rank
- Experience designing and administering information literacy instruction and incorporating best pedagogical approaches to information literacy
- Familiarity with current and emerging trends in librarianship in the area of online and asynchronous instruction
- Experience or familiarity with using Learning Management Systems (Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, etc.)
- Experience or familiarity locating, using, adapting, and/or creating open educational resources (OER)
- Strong desire to serve first-generation students
- One to two years of related experience
