The Instructional Designer II provides project-based instructional design and development support on an as-needed basis for Organizational Development initiatives. This role designs and develops high-quality in-person, virtual, self-directed, and on-demand learning assets aligned with instructional design best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Two years of experience in instructional design
- Knowledge of foundational principles, theories, and models of cognitive science, adult learning, and communication
- Knowledge of instructional design models and processes, as well as methods and techniques for defining learning and behavioral outcome statements and planning, designing, and developing instructional content
- Proficiency level of novice in identifying the quality, authenticity, accuracy, impartiality, and/or relevance of information from various sources for the purpose of curating instructional content, tools, and resources
- Proficiency level of advanced beginner in eliciting knowledge and information from subject matter experts
- Proficiency level of advanced beginner in selecting delivery options and media for training and/or learning events to the desired learning outcomes
- Proficiency level of competent in applying principles of cognitive science and adult learning to design solutions that maximize learning
