TCEQ - Hydrologist IV

Join TCEQ as a Hydrologist IV to review water right applications, maintain and update Water Availability Models, and provide technical support to agency staff and stakeholders. This senior-level position requires skilled communication and expertise in hydrologic practices and principles, as well as experience with Texas statutes, rules, and policies for surface water rights.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in hydrology, engineering, geology, mathematics, or natural or physical science
• Six years of full-time experience performing hydrologic work of similar character, scope, and complexity
• Experience working with Texas surface water rights, Water Availability Models (WAMs), and surface-water hydrologic data
• Experience using GIS (ArcGIS PRO), Microsoft Excel, and databases
