TxDOT's Beaumont District is looking for a Transportation Engineer Tech I or II to join our design team in Beaumont, Texas. The position requires a strong mathematic background and engineering drafting skills, with a focus on getting the job done. Requirements
- High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies
- Experience: No experience required for Transportation Engineer Tech I, 2 years drafting, design, plan preparation for Transportation Engineer Tech II
- Valid driver's license
- Basic roadway design, Hydrologic, hydraulic and geotechnical design activities and principles, Applicable engineering workstations and applications, Higher mathematics, Interactive graphic and design information systems, Writing and revising standards and procedures, Performing basic design and drafting, Training in a classroom, office, or field environment, Using computers, applicable programs, applications and systems, Follow verbal and written instructions
