Electronic Equipment Design Assurance engineer

We are pioneers in the field of aviation and on-demand mobility. We are seeking a highly motivated Aircraft Electronic Software and Hardware Engineering Specialist to join our Electronic Equipment Design Assurance (EEDA) team at our facility in Mirabel, Quebec, Canada. The ideal candidate will have a university engineering degree in Avionics, Electronics, Software, or equivalent, and a minimum of 8 years of technical engineering experience, including at least 5 years in aeronautics.

Requirements

• Participate in preliminary and critical system design reviews
• Prepare or contribute to program software and electronic hardware certification plans
• Evaluate supplier's software and electronic (FPGA, ASIC, PLD) designs
• Conduct technical and process audits
• Perform safety of flight reviews
• Assess software and electronic hardware life cycle data to ensure compliance to standards
• Lead the resolution of safety, compliance, or technical deficiencies with suppliers and other program stakeholders
• Prepare and/or review design compliance reports
• Contribute to the evolution of EEDA best practices
