Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant)

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) performs detailed histories and physical exams and partners with patients to create appropriate, evidence-based, medical treatment plans.

Requirements

• Provides evidence-based, episodic care to patients based on current guidelines
• Works within a defined scope of practice and under the authority of supervising physician(s) or by specific protocols
• Collaborates with other medical providers on patient cases when appropriate
• Documents medical information of patients and reviews patients' histories at each visit
• Evaluates response to treatments and medications
• Counsels' patients and performs patient education
• Manages pediatric (3 months +) and adult patients for both acute and chronic conditions
• Actively maintains knowledge of current medical research and trends
