Senior Electronics Engineer

Role Overview

This role covers all aspects of the product lifecycle, from requirements through specification, concept studies, design and development, integration, validation and qualification. This is a great opportunity for an experienced electronics engineer to build technical skills, widen their systems understanding and develop their career.

What You Will Do

Undertake design of complex electronic circuit assemblies or architectures, lead discussions with a multi-disciplinary team, work collaboratively with the project team, contribute to the development of the wider electronics team, generate electronics specifications, architectures, and development or verification plan, support the bid process, present robust engineering solutions at design reviews, and monitor progress of work against cost, schedule and performance.

Requirements

• Experience of electronic design throughout the design lifecycle
• Previous use of schematic capture packages (Cadence, Mentor Graphics or similar)
• Development of electronic products in a formal environment
• Experience testing at circuit board and system level (eg. board bring-up and debug, EMC testing)
• Preparation of sub-system requirements/procurement specs
• General understanding of engineering process and design lifecycles
