Job Description
The Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Leave Replacement Guidance Counselor for a role within their elementary school. This position focuses on supporting students experiencing social, emotional, behavioral, and/or learning difficulties, with the goal of improving school adjustments and fostering a positive learning environment. The role involves counseling students, collaborating with school staff, parents, and community partners, and advocating for student success.
Requirements
- NYS Certification in School Counseling required
- Masters Degree in School Counseling required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to liaise with community agencies
- Demonstrates abilities/strategies to reduce inappropriate behaviors
