Job Description
The BC SPCA is looking for an on-call auxiliary Animal Care Attendant to work at the Chilliwack Animal Centre. The successful candidate will have experience in customer relations and animal husbandry, and will be able to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, and statutory holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers’ License and driver’s abstract
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Resourceful team player
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Knowledge of animals, their breeds, characteristics, and common diseases
- Previous kennel or animal care experience considered an asset
- Demonstrable interest in all aspects of animal welfare
- Previous animal control, welfare, or enforcement experience an asset
