The British Columbia Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (BC SPCA) is a 125-year-old non-profit that safeguards vulnerable animals and empowers communities across British Columbia. It delivers comprehensive services—including pet adoption, emergency rescue and medical care, cruelty investigations, and welfare advocacy—to support more than 45,000 animals each year. As the province’s sole animal-welfare organization authorized to enforce cruelty laws and prosecute offenders, the BC SPCA combines legal enforcement with compassionate care. The organization’s blend of community outreach, evidence-based advocacy, and hands-on rescue work makes it a leading force in animal protection and a rewarding place for professionals dedicated to animal welfare.
The BC SPCA is looking for an Animal Care Attendant to care for the health and welfare of animals in the shelter. The selected person will also assist with front desk activities and provide excellent customer service skills.
