Job Description
Front Office Clerk responsible for patient registration, data entry, and customer service in a medical office setting. Requires knowledge of medical and insurance terminology, proficiency in Microsoft Office and practice management systems, and excellent written and verbal skills.
Requirements
- Maintains accurate registration of patient insurance and demographic information
- Process FMLA, EDD, and Leave of Absence Forms
- Collects co-payments and accurately records and logs all payments received
- Verifies insurance eligibility using an automated electronic verification system
- Answers phone calls and sends out new appointments and appointment reminders
- Adheres to all patient confidentiality policies and carries out all tasks in a pleasant and respectful manner
