Job Description
Temporary Part-time Food Service Worker position at Sun Parlor Home in Leamington, Ontario. Assist with food preparation and serving, and maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements
- Secondary School Diploma
- 6 months experience in food service and an understanding of therapeutic diets
- Completion of the Food Services Worker certificate program or Post-Secondary diploma/degree in Food/Nutrition Management or cooks/chefs who have a diploma from an established college or have attained the Red Seal Program status
- Knowledge of Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care Standards
- Fundamental knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, WHMIS, the Sanitation Code and the legislation related to this work
- Ability to read and write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability and willingness to provide a service that enhances the dignity and respects the diversity of residents
