The Upper School English Instructor is a master teacher and collaborator with a passion for teaching Upper School English, utilizing a strong repertoire of tools for teaching students to read closely, think critically, and write in a variety of modes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in English—Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum three years of experience as an Upper School English teacher.
- Proficiency in educational technology and current pedagogical research and practices.
- Commitment to participate broadly in the life of the school.
- Effective interpersonal skills; specifically for interacting with students and faculty members.
- Demonstrated record of effectively differentiating instruction and using instructional technology.
- Experience with school change and ongoing, immersive teacher collaboration.
- Innovative, flexible thinking to meet student needs in a mission-centered classroom.
- Prior experience working with Advanced Placement and/or International Baccalaureate curriculum and objectives preferred.
