This is an internship position with the potential to transition into a full-time Environmental Scientist I position. The Environmental Intern will gain hands-on experience in a professional work environment, supporting multiple departments while contributing to a variety of environmental projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related scientific field.
- Fieldwork experience is preferred, including but not limited to geophysical investigations (ERT, towed array, etc.), dye tracer water sampling, and soil vapor sampling.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly in Excel pivot tables or similar data analysis/visualization tools is preferred.
- Project management coursework or experience is preferred.
- Technical writing coursework or experience is preferred
- Previous experience in customer service or administrative support preferred.
- Familiarity with AI environmental tools is preferred.
- Community and cultural relations coursework or experience is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
