Job Description
The Guidance Center is seeking a Recovery Coach to join their team in Adult Behavioral Health. The successful candidate will deliver recovery coaching services, conduct community outreach, and promote recovery through public speaking and committee work.
Requirements
- Experience receiving substance use treatment and/or recovery support services
- At least two years of sobriety
- Valid Michigan driver's license and good driving record
- Chauffeur's license
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of people with substance use disorders
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish working relationships with consumers
- Certification as a Recovery Coach within six months of hire
- Certified Peer Recovery Mentor credential or completion of a Development Plan application
