The Patient Service Representative will receive patients, process paperwork, and perform administrative tasks under the direction of the Patient Services Manager.
Requirements
- Greet patients in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide and explain necessary paperwork to patients
- Utilize computer and software to input information and record visits
- Screen patients prior to examination by provider
- Inform patients of different programs to offset charges
- Perform income verification
- Perform status verification when appropriate
- Review information collected from patients and explain fee schedules and methods of payment
- Collect payment when required
- Assist eligible patients to establish and maintain HWLA enrollment
- Provide telephone and in-person assistance to complete related applications
- Prepare related reports and maintain files, data bases and other program records
- Serve as a liaison/super-user to HWLA
- Monitor changes and modifications to the HWLA program
- Provide training and updates to team members
- Make recommendations to improve enrollment processes
- Facilitate completion of special projects related to HWLA
- Provide coverage for front desk, telephone reception and/or appointment desk
- Keep abreast of all payment options and special programs available to cover the cost of services rendered
