The Light Lab Student Assistant is responsible for assisting students and faculty with tool checkout, monitoring making spaces, and performing daily processes and projects. The role requires a personable, proactive, and detail-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Requirements
- Cultivate a diverse, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment
- Provide high-level customer service
- Report for shift on time and review priority tasks
- Monitor patrons entering and exiting the shop space
- Perform basic reception duties
- Assist students and faculty with reservations and equipment requests
- Maintain tool organization
- Assist Making Center Staff with shop upkeep
- Perform regular upkeep of shops and spaces
