The Open University is seeking an Academic Advisor to support learners in Wales to achieve their educational goals. The role involves providing academic leadership and support, designing and delivering training, and developing subject specialist knowledge of the Open University curriculum. The successful applicant will work with a team of Academic Advisors and will be based at the Open University's Cardiff office.

Requirements

• Significant experience of providing guidance and leadership to diverse groups of adult learners
• Understanding of factors affecting learner success in the context of part-time and distance learning
• Developed communication skills, both written and spoken
• High level of interpersonal skills, including relationship-building, networking, collaborative, and team-working skills
• Experience of designing, delivering, and evaluating training for a wide range of staff
• Proficiency in using digital systems and platforms to provide effective leadership
