Politics Reporter

The Real Deal is seeking a politics reporter to join their rapidly growing media company. The ideal candidate will have experience covering local and national politics and policy, and will be responsible for writing original web stories and producing in-depth features for the website and monthly magazine.

Requirements

• Political journalism experience
• Demonstrated writing, interviewing, and reporting skills
• Ability to produce clean, well-organized, and accurate copy on deadline
• Capacity to develop expertise and a robust array of sources in one or more of TRD's coverage areas
• Understanding of and adherence to journalistic standards, ethics, and protocol
• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple assignments
• Team player; willingness to collaborate with colleagues
