The Royal Children's Hospital is seeking a Family Healthcare Support Worker to provide tailored care to children with complex medical needs in their home environment. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with families, medical specialists, and other RCH team members to deliver care and support. Full job-training is provided, and the role is suitable for school leavers, students, early retirees, and parents returning to work.
Requirements
- Provide tailored care based on the patient's needs outlined in their care plan
- Maintain the safety and well-being of the child as outlined in the child-specific training manual and report any concerns to the parents
- Support children to access activities, education, and community outings, if appropriate
- Responsible for the safe management of equipment during shift times
