Job Description
This Registered Practical Nurse (RPT) position provides evidence-based assessment and treatment in a Secure Treatment Unit, specializing in mental health recovery and reducing recidivism. The unit offers specialized programs for individuals with mental health issues, trauma, and aggressive behaviour, focusing on holistic treatment and community reintegration. The role involves providing essential nursing support, conducting assessments, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Graduate of recognized Diploma Program in Practical Nursing
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Knowledge of CNO Standards regarding RPN scope of practice
- Understanding of MHA and relevant legislation
- CPR/AED Certification within the last 2 years
- Completion of Prevention of Violence in the Workplace training (C.P.I.)
- Basic computer skills
