Job Description
The Salvation Army is seeking an Initial Assessment and Planning Worker to join their Homelessness Service in Geelong, VIC. The role involves conducting assessments, developing action plans, and connecting clients to community supports to secure safe accommodation and prevent re-entry into the homelessness system. The position is a 12-month max-term, full-time role.
Requirements
- Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Social Work, Psychology, Occupational Therapy)
- Recent experience in Initial Assessment and Planning or a related role within the community services sector
- Demonstrated understanding of homelessness, trauma-informed practice, and complex client needs
- Excellent communication, crisis management, and relationship-building skills
