We are seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team in Baie Ste Anne, NB. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks, including preventive maintenance and repairs to rolling-stock, as well as other mechanical work. Applicants must have a valid Heavy Equipment Mechanic license or equivalent experience, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

- Be capable of working in a noisy, dusty environment and in cold and hot conditions
- Be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Be a licensed Heavy Equipment Mechanic OR be a recognized apprentice in the trade OR be able to demonstrate proficiency and experience in the trade
- Meet minimum performance standards, including pre-employment testing (theory and practical)
- Be capable of climbing safely in and out of heavy equipment
- Be able to speak, read and write in ENGLISH and be able to communicate well
- Not have restrictions limiting one's ability to properly wear Personal Protective Equipment
- Provide a CPIC (Criminal Record) Check
- May have to provide a driver's abstract (driving record)
- Bilingualism is an asset, but not a requirement
- Wages determined by Collective Agreement ($24.02 to $28.82, depending on ability, training and experience)
