Quantum Explorations - Teaching & Tech Assistant

The STEM Alliance is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Teaching & Tech Assistant (TTA) to support our Quantum Explorations summer program for rising high school seniors. The program introduces students to foundational concepts in quantum science and emerging quantum technologies through inquiry, experimentation, and mentorship from industry professionals.

Requirements

• Current graduate student or college student with advanced study in physics, engineering, computer science, or a related field
• Experience teaching or mentoring high school or middle school students
• Experience as a teaching assistant, lab instructor, or STEM outreach mentor
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex or abstract concepts clearly
• Comfort supporting hands-on, technical, or experimental learning activities
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to reach partner sites independently across Westchester County
