Job Description
Suddath is seeking an Equipment Operator for a night shift position. The operator will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a forklift or other powered material handling equipment to move, stack, or pick/pull merchandise. This position includes all phases of warehousing, including shipping, receiving, inventorying, product repackaging, palletizing, and forklift operation.
Requirements
- Operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods and OSHA standards
- Load, unload, move, stack and stage product and materials using powered MHE
- Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations
- Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate areas
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensuring accuracy for loading and shipments
- Perform pick and pack, light assembly, labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed
- Keep appropriate records and reports to ensure proper inventory control and security measures are followed and maintained
