Join The Trustees of Reservations as a Seasonal Camp Educator Counselor and spend the summer teaching children about nature, ecology, and agriculture at Weir River Farm in Hingham, MA. This is a fun and meaningful role that requires a passion for the environment and working with children.
Requirements
- Working towards a bachelor's degree in education, environmental studies, science, or other relevant experience or course of study preferred.
- Experience in outdoor education, working as a camp counselor, classroom teacher, or informal educator with children ages 5-11.
- Knowledge of or interest in nature education and desire to share your passion for the natural world with children;
- Positive attitude and flexibility to changing circumstances and all types of summer weather conditions.
- Embrace inclusion of all, and an open-mindedness to learn through new experiences.
- Must be outgoing and bring unbridled joy and enthusiasm to work.
- The ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Able and willing to work outdoors all summer in variable weather conditions
