As a Lane Closure Technician (LCT), you will play an essential role in supporting the safety of your fellow roadworkers, crews, and members of the public on the road. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient set up, maintenance, and removal of traffic control measures in various work zones across the lower mainland.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of BC LCT experience
- Current TCP certification recognized by WorkSafeBC or equivalent provincial regulator
- Drivers License with a clean driving record
- Possession of and ability to use a smartphone with a data plan
- Good knowledge and understanding of the WorkSafeBC Regulations for Traffic Control, Part 18
- Knowledge and understanding of the WCB Act, sections 115-117, General Duties
- Knowledge and understanding of the Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Management Manual for Work on Roadways as developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
- Knowledge of the requirements of the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act and other regulations related to traffic control
