Lane Closure Technician (LCT)

The Universal Group has exciting opportunities in our Traffic Control team as a Lane Closure Technician (LCT). You will play an essential role in supporting the safety of your fellow roadworkers, crews, and members of the public on the road.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of BC LCT experience
• Current TCP certification recognized by WorkSafeBC or equivalent provincial regulator
• Drivers License with a clean driving record
• Possession of and ability to use a smartphone with a data plan
• Good knowledge and understanding of the WorkSafeBC Regulations for Traffic Control, Part 18
• Knowledge and understanding of the WCB Act, sections 115-117, General Duties
• Knowledge and understanding of the Traffic Management Plans and Traffic Management Manual for Work on Roadways as developed by the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure
• Knowledge of the requirements of the British Columbia Motor Vehicle Act and other regulations related to traffic control
