Job Description
The Ambulatory Clinic Nurse (RN) - Internal Medicine position is responsible for promoting and restoring patient's health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and team members, and providing physical and psychological support to patients and their families.
Requirements
- Consistently meets work schedule.
- Demonstrates critical thinking utilizing all aspects of the nursing process.
- Maintains a safe environment for patients.
- Coordinates health care services with hospital, vendors, physician's offices and other institutions.
- Answers patient/significant others phone calls, evaluate patient's needs, and triage patient care.
- Provides patient/family education using resources available.
- Acts as liaison between patient, significant others and health team members.
- Identifies area for professional growth.
- Participates fully as a member of the Patient Centered Medical Home Team.
- Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
