Phlebotomist

The Phlebotomist is a position within the clinical laboratory responsible for interpreting orders for lab work, performing blood draws, and collecting specimens. The Phlebotomist must be able to interpret orders, identify correct tube types, and ensure patient safety and quality specimen collection.

Requirements

• High School Graduate
• Less than 1 year 6 months experience in an internal phlebotomy training program
• 1 or more years experience in specimen collection and processing
• completion of an external phlebotomy program
